Another thing that I should mention is that the Metis Crossing events are co-sponsored by the radio station CFCW 790, Canada's first country music station, and sponsor/host of the annual Big Valley Jamboree. This might be another avenue to boost your profile in a strong country music area, open a new market and get your CD into airplay and sales across the country. Mark, I am living in Smoky Lake Alberta. Here we have a place called Metis Crossing, run by the Metis Nation of Alberta. This is a cultural and lifestyle attraction centre, and features a Jamboree in July, as well as "Voyage Days" in August. Do you think you might come out here to play? I know that the people here would be more than happy to have you come out!
My family and I lived in Orillia for nearly 20 years before moving here. I am involved with the local Chamber of Commerce, and believe that if you were to appear at an event out here, it would be a good thing for all concerned. In 2007, Metis Crossing hosted an episode of "Fish Out Of Water", and they are currently planning their schedule for 2010.
Please let me know if this might be of interest to you!

( my third single) And thats how we met!!!!!! hey Julie! I wrote my first song in grade 8. Actually it was Still My Angel. (recorded years later) But ya grade 8 is when I actually picked up a guitar , not really knowing what I was doing, and wrote. At what age did you start writing your own music? |
